It is time for every local Democrat’s favorite event: The Wilson County Democrats Annual Chili Cook-Off, Presented by UAW region 8! This event is our biggest fundraiser of the year, and in 2026, there is nothing hotter than being a Democrat! Meet your 2026 midterm candidates, taste the best pots of chili in town & bid on unique silent and live auction items to support the work our party volunteers are doing!

Keynote Speaker: Dr. Michael Eric Dyson, one of the nation’s most renowned professors, gifted writers, inspiring preachers, knowledgeable lecturers, and prominent media personalities.

State Representative John Ray Clemmons will also speak. He is a Wilson County native and currently leader of the House Democratic Caucus.

Single Tickets are $20; Table for 8 is $140

FOR CANDIDATES: Candidates will have the opportunity to set up a display table at our event. Please email Contact@WilsonCountyDemocrats.org to reserve your table. For county and municipal races, candidates will have half a table with another local race candidate.

VOLUNTEER

FOR CHILI CONTESTANTS: Anyone wishing to enter their chili into the chili cook-off, should sign up at THIS FORM. They must drop off their chili in a crockpot by 4pm on January 31st. 1st, 2nd & 3rd place winners will have their name added to the corresponding winners' trophy!

FOR AUCTION ITEMS: Each year, folks donate amazing items for our event! Items we would love to have in our live or silent auction would be: AirBNB stays, travel gift cards, autographed items, artwork, Democratic & patriotic items, event tickets, services for local businesses & more. We ask that all auction items be dropped off by 4pm at the event space by January 31st. Please let us know what item you will be bringing, by filling out this form!
